Eligibility for Membership

Regular Members: The voting members of PDAS shall be individuals listed as a department administrator or business officer (or other equivalent term) of departments of pathology, clinical pathology and/or laboratory medicine in schools of medicine as designated by the Chair. Only one member may be designated by the department Chair to be a voting member. Names should be submitted by chairs to the APC office and updated yearly as needed. These same members shall be invited to participate in the PDAS listserv.

Associate Members: Associate members shall be selected by the Chair from among the members of departments of pathology, clinical pathology and/or laboratory medicine that do not meet the eligibility requirements above but whose education and networking would be advanced to provide for succession planning and other important purposes of the department. PDAS Council has determined it is appropriate for one institution to have up to two associate members; a request to have more than two associate members would be subject to review and approval.
