APC 2019 PREPARATIONS 

SEAPORT WORLD TRADE CENTER FLOOR PLANS NOW AVAILABLE! Get a preview of the conference venue layout by downloading the preliminary Section Programs (Chairs, PRODS, PDAS, UMEDS, and GMEAS) of the APC 2019 Annual Meeting posted at: www.apcprods.org/m-2019-agenda. Review the addendum of the 13 concurrent Discussion Group session topics and their preliminary meeting room assignments. Finally, abstracts for the Posters Program will be published in Academic Pathology in the coming days at https://journals.sagepub.com/home/apc!

BRINGING A GUEST/SPOUSE TO BOSTON? The APC guest/spouse hospitality program, “SPICE,” provides a meeting with the Seaport Hotel Concierge, inclusion in the Welcome Reception on Sunday, and breakfasts on Monday and Tuesday…all for only $45! Pre-registration is preferred, but they can also be purchased on-site. More than 30 guests/spouses have already registered. MEETING MOBILE APP COMING THE WEEK OF JULY 8TH! Registered attendees should expect an email from our mobile app platform (Crowd Compass) that will include instructions and the password for (1) downloading the app on your mobile device prior to traveling to Boston, (2) accessing the APC 2019 event content, and (3) verifying your account on the same device. If you completed the Elective Events Survey by June 26th, your elective event selections (e.g., Discussion Groups, Committee Meetings) will be pre-loaded into the app prior to the meeting. More details will be included in the mobile app messaging.

HAVEN’T REGISTERED YET FOR APC 2019? Visit: www.apcprods.org/m-meetings-2019. The Boston Seaport Hotel and the Westin Waterfront Hotel no longer have the APC group rate available. Those seeking lodging should search with your preferred travel booking site.

CHANGING PROGRAM DIRECTORS WITH THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR? 

Please encourage new pathology residency Program Directors (PDs) and Associate Program Directors (APDs) to make updates to PRODS membership with the APC by completing the new member inquiry form at: www.apcprods.org/m-join-apc-2. The APC verifies PDs via the online ACGME ADS directory, and APDs are identified by the PD.
