APC ADVOCACY – Join the Push Against CMS Cuts
To help defend Pathology against CMS’s planned 2021 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) cuts that offset evaluation and management (E&M) increases for other specialties, APC was recently invited by the College of Pathologists and the American College of Radiology to join their E&M Coalition. This ad hoc group of provider organizations is working to develop broad Congressional support for a stop-gap measure to delay expected PFS cuts in 2021, or to waive the budget neutrality requirement, which disproportionately impacts Pathology and Radiology, among other specialties. To help advocate through your institutions’ government relations representatives or with other clinicians or members of Congress, please see the helpful talking points prepared by the E&M Coalition.
