Claiming CME Credits

The claim period for this program closed on 3/31/2023.

The APC 2022 Online Learning Program provides year-round continuing education for those interested in academic pathology. High-quality, recorded presentations (20.0 hours total) by well-known speakers in the field offer timely and relevant educational material that can impact practice, research, advocacy, teaching, and leadership—both at the national and local levels.

REGISTRATION: Access to the APC 2022 Online Learning Program requires individual registration that allows learners to review the recorded presentations and claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Enrolled learners receive unlimited access to recorded presentations, however, please note that in order to earn CME, you must complete the activity and submit your claim by March 31, 2023.

TO CLAIM CME: Click the link below to access the learning content, which is now hosted on the NEW APC Learning Center. Once you click the link below, make sure you then click the "Login" button at the top right corner of the APC Learning Center Homepage and log in using your APC member profile information. Once you are logged in to the APC Learning Center, click the "Details" button on the APC 2022 Online Learning Program, which will be located under your latest courses. Complete the evaluation at the end of each module. When you have completed all desired modules, submit the Final Assessment. All claims for CME for the APC 2022 Online Learning Program must be submitted by March 31, 2023. Click here or scroll further below for more detailed instructions on how to claim CME using the NEW APC Learning Center.

RECEIVING A CME CERTIFICATE: CME claims are reviewed by the APC Office on a monthly cycle after which you will receive a PDF certificate by email. Thus, upon submission of your CME credit claim, thank you for your patience for potentially up to 6 weeks. If you have any questions about your submissions or claims, please contact the APC Office Staff at [email protected].

Detailed Instructions on How to Claim CME Using the NEW APC Learning Center

1. Access the Learning Center
Upon logging into the APC Learning Center (found at: https://apc.mclms.net/en/), you should be able to see the “APC 2022 Online Learning Program” under our latest courses (see screenshot below) if you are enrolled in the APC 2022 Online Learning Program. Note that this is a different course than the APC 2022 Annual Meeting Pre-Recorded Presentations.  Please click “Details” (circled in red in the image below) to be taken to the course where you can submit your CME Claim. Follow the instructions within the course to get started.

Step 2: Complete the Evaluation for Each Viewed Module
You will notice that there are modules such as Chairs Boot Camp, Undergraduate Medical Education, Leadership Development & Diversity, etc., within the APC 2022 Online Learning Program course. At the end of each module, there is a very short evaluation (highlighted yellow in the image below) that you must complete in order to obtain credits for the material that you have viewed. You will need to view all of the content in order to obtain credit for the module. The University of California San Diego School of Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 20.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity, which is done by completing the evaluations at the end of each module.

Module Evaluations

Step 3: Submit the Final Assessment
Underneath the “Activity Overview and Instructions”, there is a section called “Final Assessment” which must be completed as the final step after you have viewed and claimed credit for all of the desired modules. You do not need to complete each module in order to submit your Final Assessment, however, you should only complete the Final Assessment after you have completed an evaluation for all of the viewed modules (and you are not planning to view more). Completing this Final Assessment will alert APC Staff that you have completed the APC 2022 Online Learning Program and a certificate of completion can be issued for the hours that you have earned (through submitting the evaluations for each module, as described in Step 2 above).
