AAPath Fundamentals of Effective Health Science Education Program

The Association for Academic Pathology’s Academy of Distinguished Pathology Educators is pleased to welcome applications for the 2026-2027 Fundamentals of Effective Health Science Education Program. The Fundamentals Program provides participants with a certificate-eligible program that enhances educator effectiveness and professional opportunities by providing focused essential knowledge and skills. 

Eligibility: 

This program is suitable for health science faculty at all levels of experience who seek professional development to enhance their effectiveness, enrich their knowledge and experience, and develop their career as a health science educator. AAPath membership is not a requirement to participate in this program. This program will admit a limited number of participants, so the application process is expected to be competitive.

  • Program Cost: $3,400 (billed after notification of acceptance; due by July 1, 2026)

  • The 2026-27 application period is now closed. CLICK HERE to access a PDF version of the 2026-2027 Fundamentals Program application form, for reference. Please note, this should just be used to reference, formal application submissions must be submitted through the form when the next application cycle is open. The 2027-28 application period will open in September 2026. 

Application & Decision Timeline (2026-2027 Program): 

  • Applications Open – January 22nd, 2026
  • Application Deadline – March 20th, 2026
  • Applicant Notification By – Late April
